After the successful tree-planting activity as part of the Erasmus+ Tell Youth project, the Ovidius Orchard is now taking root and thriving! Thanks to the dedication of 130 participants, we planted 125 fruit trees and 75 grapevines on November 23 and 28. This initiative not only contributed to environmental sustainability but also laid the foundation for an innovative space that combines science, culture, and art.
Following the planting event, students and researchers have already begun monitoring the orchard’s development. The young trees and vines are adapting well, and we are excited to see them grow into a flourishing green space within the university campus. The orchard is evolving into a multifunctional learning space, where students engage in research and practical activities related to botany, agriculture, and sustainability.
plans include organizing educational workshops and cultural events in the orchard, reinforcing the project’s mission to blend nature with education and creativity. This initiative is more than just tree planting—it represents a long-term commitment to environmental conservation, hands-on education, and community engagement. The Ovidius Orchard will continue to grow, providing a green sanctuary for learning, relaxation, and collaboration.
