A workshop framed within the Tell Youth project, organised by HEI and Burada, in collaboration with Regina Maria High School, whose talented art students drew and colored the selected local plants found in the east region of Romania. The workshop, which took place for several days, was useful to portray the plants’ database and create a list of illustrations that has been later on used in the Digital Herbarium and in the Illustrated Guide to Plant Heritage.
Over the course of a week, 37 young participants explored illustration techniques and creative visual expression, guided by expert facilitators. The workshop combined hands-on drawing and painting sessions with reflection about nature, encouraging participants to engage more deeply with their local environment and plant heritage.
Results: The artworks produced were intended to feed into the project’s Digital Herbarium component, linking scientific, artistic and cultural heritage.
