As part of the Erasmus+ TELL Youth project, K.A.NE. organised an illustration workshop in March 2025, in collaboration with two schools of Kalamata. The activity brought together students and teachers eager to explore cultural and natural heritage through art and creativity. Drawing inspiration from the region’s unique biodiversity, participants created illustrations of plants that combined scientific accuracy with artistic expression. Guided by skilled trainers, the students experimented with different techniques and styles, transforming the plants into vivid visual representations.

Beyond developing their artistic skills, the workshop nurtured a stronger connection between the young participants and their local environment, while also fostering an appreciation of Europe’s shared heritage. Selected artworks will be included in the Virtual Herbarium, one of the project’s key outcomes that unites science, art, and history, ensuring that the students’ creative contributions become part of a lasting collective memory.
