As part of the Erasmus+ TELL Youth project, a creative writing workshop was organized at Ovidius University of Constanța, bringing together 30 students eager to explore cultural and natural heritage through storytelling.

The workshop encouraged participants to draw inspiration from Dobrogea’s rich history, folklore, and biodiversity, transforming their reflections into poetry, short stories, and essays. Guided by experts, students experimented with different literary techniques, merging tradition with modern creativity to capture the essence of the region’s landscapes and legends. The workshop also incorporated decision-making exercises that help when researching and writing.

Beyond enhancing writing skills, the workshop fostered a deeper appreciation for local and European heritage, emphasizing the role of storytelling in preserving cultural identity. Some of the students’ works will be integrated into the Virtual Herbarium, a key project outcome combining science, art, and history.

This event successfully encouraged artistic expression and intercultural dialogue, proving that words can bridge generations and traditions.
