On the 18th of September, a workshop about environment has been organized by the Maison de l’Europe de Nîmes.
The activities aimed to raise young people’s awareness of the environment, nature, and the need to protect it. We started with a small activity about European knowledge. By combining a geography game about the European Union with an environmental activity, participants were able to better understand the geographical diversity of the EU and how environmental issues vary across regions. It helped them realize that environmental preservation is a shared responsibility across all member states, and that European cooperation is key to protecting our natural heritage.
Then a biological treasure hunt was organized, during which participants had to look for plants and take photos of them. We then created a space for discussion, allowing everyone to share their thoughts, concerns, expectations, and feelings on the topic.
